Job Title: Technical & Engineering Head - R&D Center 工程技术部总监
Report to: China CEO
Number of subordinates: 6 as direct and 150 as dottled line

Job Summary:
Lead the Mechanical Engineering organization and be responsible for the products local
development in accordance with the client specifications and the objectives defined for the projects in quality, price and timing.

2. GENERAL FUNCTIONS:
? Establish priorities in its teams (development, laboratory, metrology, IQ) ensuring an appropriate projects development applying the standards defined by the Excellence Engineering Centre (EEC).
? Ensure to match the right required technical manning profiles to each related projects or engineering services.
? Manage the Quality and Performance metrics for Mechanical Engineering (KPI’s).
? Align the technical roadmap with the Business areas needs.
? Create and execute strategies for mechanical technologies that will support new business growth
opportunities, drive innovation and serve the future market demands of our customers.
? Guarantee the follow up of company Development System (FDS/IDS).
? Ensure implementation of the Lessons Learned.
? Identify potential Intellectual Property protection needs or patent infringement risks and take actions when required.
? Make and carry out a budget control of the area.
? Be responsible for obtaining local lower development costs
? Represent the Company’s products and technologies in customer meetings
? Be responsible to detect & join local collaborative programs and to get potential local grants.
? Contribute with HR department to the attraction and retention of top technical talent in the area in
order to upgrade quality and performance standards.
? Ensure the technical development growth of the profiles under the area.
? Provide his/her team with the necessary means to comply with Health & Safety rules and assure they are properly used.
? Actively cooperate with the Department in the maintenance, promotion and improvement etc.
