Job Title: Quality Manager
Report to: Operation Director
Performs direct and managerial tasks to resolve quality issues in accordance with Customerand industry quality standards. The Quality Manager provides guidance, instruction and leadership to Quality Staff and Continuous Improvement (C.I.) Teams towards meeting Quality objectives.
This position requires on-going communication with Customers and Suppliers (on site as required). Imparts analytical problem solving and judgment towards corrective actions. Leads off continuous improvement initiatives and disseminates requirements and objectives to Senior Management. Engages in Quality Staff recruitment and selection, performance reviews, discipline and salary reviews.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
? Effective management, through enforcement (constructive correction) and reinforcement (commendation) techniques, of health and environmental programs to ensure compliance with performance standards and legislative requirements.
? Remain current in the field of Quality through the reading and self study of related publications and training.
? Maintenance, storage and accessibility of all files and information used and produced by the Quality department i.e. all test results, OQR recordings etc.
? Confer with customers, “on-site” and “in-house” as required, to analyze, develop and implement improvement projects.
? Communicate and provide guidance on quality system requirements to Quality Staff, Production Teams.
? Ensure quality control aspects required by the customer are carried out accurately and documented properly.
? Maintain accurate personnel records and maintain confidentiality therein.
? Responsible for effective administration of human resource programs to help foster an environment which is fair and consistent and promote positive employee relations, empowerment and involvement.
? Responsible to protect own health and safety by working in compliance with established safe work practices and procedures.
? Participate in programs and activities such as training, communication, inspection, investigation and general promotion.
Health and safety requirements
1 A worker shall:
A Work in compliance with the provisions of this Act and the Regulations
B Use or wear the equipment, protective devices (safety glasses, hearing protection and safety shoes) or clothing that the workers employer requires to be used or worn
C Report to his or her employer or supervisor the absence of or defect in any equipment or protective device of which the worker is aware and which may endanger himself/herself or another worker
D Report to his or her employer or supervisor any contravention of this Act or the regulations or the existence of any hazard of which he or she knows。
2 No worker shall:
A Remove or make ineffective any protective device required by the regulations or be his or her employer, without providing an adequate temporary protective device and when the need for removing or making ineffective the protective device has ceased, the protective device shall be replaced immediately;
B Use or operate equipment, machine, device, or thing or work in a manner that may endanger himself, herself, or any other worker; or
C Engage in any prank, contest, feat of strength, unnecessary running or rough and boisterous conduct 3 A worker is not required to participate in a prescribed medical surveillance program unless the worker consents to do so

RESPONSIBILITIES:
? Ensure proper investigation, documentation and implementation of preventative measures for all accidents.
? Respond to customer concerns and questions.
? Attend internal meetings and plan and act on concerns and issues raised.
? Write and implement Quality procedures.
? Responsible for Quality Departmental Budget
? Conduct resource planning.
? Perform supplier audits and support customer audit.
? Available for frequent travel as required.
? Prepare Customer PPAP and get customer approval.
? Maintain checking gauges and equipment's, ensure calibration implemented on time.
PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENT
? Customer complaints PPM ratings.
? In-process and Finished Goods PPM Rejects.
? Response Time.
? Supplier quality PPM ratings.
? Internal/External Audits.
QUALIFICATIONS
? Quality Engineer certification or business experience equivalent
? A minimum of five years previous supervisory experience acquiring practical skills and experience in Quality Systems (QS 9000, ISO/TS 16949:2002 , SPC, Reliability, Blue Print reading, Auditing Training, Communications, Health and Safety, Finance and Engineering.
? Knowledge of business budgeting and planning.
? Proficient in Excel, Word, Visio, PowerPoint and MS Project.
? Excellent organizational skills.
? Knowledge of Welding, Stamping, Rolling, forming practices
? Available for frequent travel as required.
? Advanced level of English comprehension - oral, written, reading.
