a. Key accountabilities
- Creates, manages, coordinates, and executes all marketing activities strategic plan and budgets; Implements tactical plans that meet and exceed the organization’s goals
- Marketing Campaign Development and Implementation: Work with all Marketing team and Sales Team to develop and implement marketing campaigns that promote membership growth and retention, and member and nonmember participation in programs and events including annual meetings.
- Manage Festo’s interaction with the general business and industry news media in Greater China, including but not limited to:
o Write and/or pitch press releases, success stories, storyboarding, message development and interview opportunities;
o Conduct press events and arrange press interaction at industry conferences, trade shows and other special company-sponsored events;
- Develop positive relationship with industry organizations and government agencies within Greater China. Monitor regulatory trends and develop position statements to support management interaction with industry & government officials. Develop proactive relationships with key government official staff representatives to ensure access when needed.
- Manage the employee communications within Greater China
- Manage branding activities among universities & Industry Associations
- Maintains and updates brand guidelines (Festo corporate identity) and ensure consistent adherence to guidelines for all marketing materials and activities from Marketing Communications department.
b Knowledge/skills/experience
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in a communications department or communications agency involved in related industry in China
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration or other applicable fields.
- Strong written and verbal presentation and communications skills in English and Mandarin Chinese. German will be a plus.
- Strong cross-functional and project management skills
- Computer skills especially Microsoft Office applications and web based applications
- Ability and willingness to undertake extended work hours and travel as necessary.
- Personal characteristics: well respected professional, self-motivated, energetic, creative skills, strategic thinker, problem solver, team player, interpersonal skills
