Requirements
Bose Technical Services Group is looking for an Engineer to represent the Global Repair and Remanufacturing organization on new product development teams and to provide ongoing support for products in the field. In this role you will provide serviceability input to development teams. Using product knowledge gained by interaction with the development team, you will help prepare global repair and remanufacturing organizations for new product introductions.

This position gives you the opportunity to work with multiple disciplines across the company providing you exposure and learning experiences.

Responsibilities:
? Create service, repair and remanufacturing strategies and plans
? Create repair manuals documenting repair parts, assembly/disassembly, test, and software update processes
? Provide continuing engineering support for repair and remanufacturing
? Provide end of service life support for repair and service
i. Attend product development team meetings to learn and provide remanufacturing and repair input
ii. Engage in design prototype builds to gain an understanding of service repair and remanufacturing impact – fixtures, test, and assembly processes
iii. Identify service assemblies - work with development team members to create service replacement material
iv. Work with global service/remanufacturing planning to identify material needs for service, repair and remanufacturing
v. Work with service organizations to determine service options for products
vi. Develop and provide repair training for global repair and remanufacturing organizations
vii. Provides ongoing technical support to repair, remanufacturing, service, and material planning

Skills
? Must be proactive, self-motivated, organized and have good interpersonal skills
? Excellent writing and communications skills
? Ability to understand the mechanical drawings and explode drawings;
? Relevant technical knowledge on manufacturing process and test procedures;
? In-depth understanding of BOM structuring and engineering related principles, practices, and procedures such as electrical schematic, PCB layout.
? Strong analytical and problem solving skills; must be able to analyze issues based on data to determine root causes and recommend solutions
? Well understanding of the manufacturing and test process of consumer electronic product.
? Basic knowledge on how to measure Voltage, Resistant, Current, Frequency and THD is must
? Test program development capability is a plus.
? Willing to learn software needed to create service documentation – Adobe products such as InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
? Strong product data management systems skills is preferred - SAP and Windchill


Education
