IST Technical Inspection Team
To manage daily inspection and or process audit at supplier/manufacturer site.
Brief inspectors with vital technical points derived from Product Quality Control Specification, Packaging Specification, Initial Assessment Report (IAR) and any other relevant documents for prior to pre-delivery inspection.
Monitor sampling process and inspection procedure making sure everything is in conformity with inspection requirement.
Check and prepare testing instruments, fixtures and equipment, ensuring that equipment is appropriately calibrated and in a safe condition and that appropriate protective equipment is used and work carried out safely.
Permanently record all findings and observations of the inspection as they occur and prepare inspection observation report, inspection report or rejection notice (as appropriate) with all observations accurately and impartially described.
Following rework and/or IAR, perform on-line audit to ensure any required checks or corrective actions are conducted correctly.
Visit factory to carry out a technical audit making sure supplier’s facilities / premise capable and processes reasonable & acceptable for intended production.
Offer technical assistance helping supplier to complete G8D analysis and implement corrective and preventative actions in following Rejection notice, in addition to verifying the implementation of corrective actions.
To proactively work with the supplier to help implement tools and working practices which improve quality and efficiency.

DIMENSIONS
The role’s function and responsibility mainly composed of skilful handling of pre-delivery inspection, production process assessment, FMEA capability and technical support whenever required by company.

SPECIFIC ISSUES
Working Environment: Supplier site and office, Normal 8 hours
Working location: Normally at supplier factory sites, typically in and around Shenzhen and Pearl River Delta but also elsewhere and with the possibility of travel to other provinces
Frequency of travelling: Daily travelling with overnight stay if necessary.

PROFILE REQUIRED
1. Required skills & knowledge for the position:
The successful Candidate will have the core competencies as follows:
University level education Electronics, Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
Related working experience and in particular, excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to command the technical and personal respect of suppliers.
Vigilant and with the ability to make clear decisions based on sound judgment.
Excellent problem solving skills.
Working knowledge of relevant product safety standards.
Knowledge of Schneider Electric LifeSpace products.

2. Required Educational Background & Professional Experience
Degree Level in Engineering/Manufacturing management or Equivalent.
5 years experience in a manufacturing environment for comparable products.

3. Languages:
Good Command in both written and spoken English, (Mandarin or Cantonese would be an advantage)

4. Other Requirements:
-Personality Traits; Extroverted, decisive, good analyst, passionate on work.
-Outstanding Interpersonal skill in handling people and communication issues.
