Sales & Marketing Director

Vandergeeten and EG DistriSelecta (sister company) are a leading distributor of fine European beverages and confectionary products. With offices in Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou our company has acquired a well-known reputation across China for 20 years. We import global brands of chocolate, beer, ice cream, biscuits and water, with an emphasis on Belgian specialty beers and fine chocolates. We represent in China well known Belgian brewery such as Chimay, Lindemans, PALM, Rochefort,… We also own the distribution rights for Mondelez Foods, including Toblerone, Cote d’Or and LU. We are currently looking for a Sales & Marketing Director based in Beijing to lead a sales & marketing team of around 15 and covering all China.

Key responsibilities
- Overseeing and managing directly 3 sales area managers and brand managers (Shanghai, Beijing, and Guangzhou)
- Developing a good cooperation with other departments.
- Seeking out major clients and forming working relationships with the premier buyers in the sector.
- Ensure good contact with all clients in each market area to ensure high levels of client satisfaction.
- Keeping track of the market: economic indicators, trends, and competitors
- Forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for the different areas and brands.
- Serving as a business representative at major industry events
- Setting goals and implementing sales & marketing strategies to achieve with the team

Position requirements

- At least 5 year-experience in FMCG.
- Excellent level of Chinese (at least oral)
- Excellent communication skills in English, additional language are a plus.
- Abilities to manage an international team spread across China.
- Deep knowledge of the Chinese market
- Well-developed business senses
- Autonomous
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
