SUMMARY/SCOPE OF POSITION:
· Join the Rockwell Automation AP regional IT team to help connect people, process and technology through Service Management, and find solutions for continual service improvement. Assist in coordinating and performing process controls and assessments by gathering supporting documentation, documenting and conducting testing, and organizing meetings between functional teams and service management resources. Also must contribute to the development and analysis of Service Operational processes(Problem, Change Incident, Event and etc) to resolve issues and maximize effectiveness and efficiency while considering regulatory compliance. Other duties will include communicating and training related to Service Operational processes.
· A successful candidate will work closely with cross functional teams including infrastructure operations, service desk, service management and applications to effectively and efficiently use Service processes. Creative thinking is a must as we work to build sound business process in a manner which minimizes disruption, creates efficiencies and maintains operating flexibility.
· The position also requires global support of the Service management processes across all IT organizations and regions including North America (NA), Asia Pacific (AP) and Europe Middle East and Africa (EMEA).
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Functional Expertise
· Develop, review and maintain process/procedure/policy documents
· Conduct process training sessions with the IT organization
· Monitor process compliance by the IT organizations and the business, and identify action plans to improve the process compliance metrics
· Identify and develop solutions for compliance gaps
· Provide process expertise and support to IT organizations such as the Global Service Desks and functional teams
· Participate in ongoing business initiatives to ensure process is efficient, flexible and well controlled
· Identify/define operational controls, approvals and authorizations, reviews and reconciliation
· Execute the IT incident, change and problem management process across AP regions as documented and approved in Rockwell Automation's IT Change and Configuration Management Process documentation.
· Collaborate with the Change and Problem Process Manager to provide input to the Global Service Transition Process Owner, who is accountable for the design and operation of the process, on design and operational improvements.
· Document and execute/perform testing plans for Service Management tool changes
· Manages IT operational measurement metrics
Leadership/Change
· Provides IT process leadership through role of Process Owner and/or Process Lead
· Has accountability for meeting commitments and deadlines.
· Applies appropriate metrics to measure and ensure value of efforts. Analyzes issues and uses sound judgement.
· Instills a sense of urgency in driving assignments to completion. Monitors progress of self and others and redirects efforts when goals are not being met.
Interpersonal
· Draws upon knowledge and communication skills to influence others or facilitate resolution of a problem / business issue.
· Contributes to team efforts by providing technical/process expertise and guidance and working towards common goal.
· Proactively shares timely updates and information with relevant parties.
· Values and supports diversity in the workplace.
· Applies self-management techniques to include: acting with integrity, demonstrating adaptability, setting personal development goals, and working efficiently.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelors in Computer Science or Management Information Systems or related experience.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
· Typically requires 5+ years of related experience, with at least 2 years in an IT process Management. Broad based background in IT technology, systems analysis and business applications. Experience in information systems, including consulting or IT advisory a plus.
· ITIL v2 or v3 Foundation Certification is a must, while advanced ITIL Certification is a plus
· Familiar with HP Service Management or equivalent systems.
· CISA or COBIT certification or training is a plus
· Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
· Rapid, accurate, responsible work ethics.
· Ability to communicate with US and EMEA teams and analysts alike in various IT disciplines and locations
· High degree of analytical skills to be able to assess the impact of changes on different business systems and people.
