Job description:

The Operations Program Manager will report to the Factory Manager and will support the Factory Manager in managing outsourced manufacturing (factory) operations for assigned suppliers by collaborating with a variety of peer groups across the organization as well as externally, including, but not limited to, Business Stakeholders, the Supply Base, Development, Finance, Supply Chain, Compliance, Process Engineering, Manufacturing Test and Quality, to solve problems at the source.

Core Responsibilities

l Be the front line interface with CM for all Sustaining Operations issues

l Drive Overall Factory KPIs (OTD, FPY, COI, WIP, UPH, Capacity) and Continuous improvement

l Drive Factory Operations Excellence (5S, Visualization, SPC)

l Coordinate ECO/Deviation implementation/Change control

l Coordinate Excursion prevention/containment/corrective action in T1

l Drive Factory Compliance in area of RSC, CCA, BOM audit

l Be the front line interface with CM for all Sustaining Operations issues

The successful candidate should have significant experience and/or expertise in many of the following areas:

• Ability to interact with sr. management (internal and external)
• Program/project Management
• High volume consumer electronics manufacturing
• Broad understanding of the hardware manufacturing industry, business and legal intricacies
• Experience and knowledge in factory operations (end to end)
• Well rounded skill set (Engineering, Supply Chain, Compliance, product knowledge, finance, people management)
• Negotiation skills and the ability to participate in the closure of complex manufacturing problems
• Outsourced manufacturing management
• Experience working with engineers and product development professionals
• Manufacturing Materials Management

In addition, the successful candidate will need to have the following attributes:

Candidates should possess a BA/BS, or technical degree in a related field, experience in working in the factory environment, a minimum of 10 years of demonstrated work experience and in-depth understanding of the technologies specific to consumer electronics are considered significant plusses.
