Principle Accountabilities

- The development of the asset base
* Ensuring maximum technical capability is extracted from the assets
* Leverage the licensed technology transferred to improve operation excellence & cost leadership
* Implement the process engineering where necessary and to provide input to production methodology
- Cost leadership
* Improve and reduce the cost base of the plants, particularly in the areas of Utility efficiencies and MDI losses, through the application of Process technology against agreed targets
* Benchmark the performance of assets against COMPANY equivalent assets to provide information on plant performance to and the COMPANY technology management team.
- Development of the products made on the assets
* Base Product range

* Differentiated Product range
* Work with the Global and regional development teams to achieve the long term goal of Global Standard product specifications manufacturing.
- Management of capital program
* Understanding technical developments required to match business needs and demands.
* Provide resource and lead Process projects within the Capex programme as assigned from time to time. Involve in the project of enhancing splitting capacity to meet the business needs and to be in line with precursor.
- Product characterization
* Understanding the impact of the asset configuration on the raw material quality and end product performance.
- Training and education of the staff in the technology adopted by
* Define, lead and provide technical training and education to production staff within the process technology area and to define and implement a succession plan to ensure long term sustainability of the process organization.
- Link into the COMPANY Global Technology Group
* Keep up to date with technological changes associated with the assets base.
* Provide the technology interface between and COMPANY and to represent in all technical elements of Technology Licensing issues, including defining technologies may be interested in licensing.

Basic Requirement

- University Degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry with significant 10+ years progressive experience in chemical process engineering and project management
- Able to anticipate the feasibility of projects within a business context
- Operates in an environment where he/she is responsible for determining daily technical directions within the organization
- Practical knowledge of chemical plant operations commensurate with experience and preferably in a high volume continuous and batch environment
- Practical skills in organization, direction, administrative controls and employee relations
- Strong influencing and communication skills coupled with competence of dealing with ambiguity
- Effective training and coaching skills
