Position Scope
Manage Joint Development Manufacturers to acquire product /material that are competitive in quality, delivery, and price in support of business division needs and strategic product sourcing objectives.

Major Responsibilities
- Manage cost, capacity, delivery and supply chain to support New Product Introduction in collaboration with program development team and Joint Development manufacturer to assure successful product launch.
- Manage, monitor, report and minimize supply risks including capacity, tooling and delivery in association with Joint Development manufacturers. Reduce product leadtime from PO release to FOB Point.
- Work with cross functional team to reduce total cost of ownership in support of New Product Introduction and annual cost reduction.
- Collaborate with commodity team to manage 2nd tier suppliers from strategic perspective including cost, capacity, risk and relationship management.
- Assess and monitor supplier financial health and risks and take necessary actions to minimize impact to Bose.
- Develop sourcing information channels and industry market intelligence to support sourcing activities. Drive comprehensive market-trend analysis, support supplier selection, conduct or support supplier surveys and audits, and develop new supply sources.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Competencies
- Good project management, problem solving and decision making skills. Able to collaborate, communicate, drive and influence multi-functional teams to accomplish complex tasks or solve problems on schedule.
- Good negotiation skills. Able to negotiate with Joint Development Manufacturers and Critical Component Suppliers to achieve cost reductions in support of annual cost reduction and New Product Launch under both favorable and unfavorable situations. Negotiate for the balance of short term and long term benefits. Able to influence others to get things done.
- Good communication skills. Able to communicate and present information, reports or projects both in English and Chinese with individual and group of people through multiple tools such as email, meeting and conference call, etc. Good excel and power point skills to convert data into presentable information through visual charts.
- Able to work and complete multiple tasks simultaneously. Flexible in managing conference calls with people in different time zones.
- Sufficient knowledge and understanding of development process on consumer electronic products. Able to analyze and understand BOM cost competitiveness in both product level and component level.

Education/Experience/Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering, MBA preferred;
Minimum of 8 years of experience in purchasing in a large, multi-plant, multi-business unit environment. Traceable experience in a variety of commodities procured from the global supply base;
CPM or CPSM are preferred.

Travel
Regular travel throughout China is required to support this position. Also requires the ability to travel to other countries in Asia in support of Global Sourcing initiatives. 30% travelling time is estimated.
