Responsibilities:


· Work with China IP counsel to implement Burberry's IP enforcement programme in China.

· Handle IP infringements cases through civil, administrative and criminal procedures.

· Handle Burberry's internet IP enforcement programme in China.

· Provide IP related legal advice to business; to advise and inform the business on IP developments;

· To be visible and accessible to and communicate effectively with business contacts and monitor their satisfaction;

· Provide IP training to business units and outside enforcement authorities.

· Liaise with, and manage, outside counsels and other service providers.



Requirements:


· Training and post-qualification experience at a law firm with a reputable IP practice

· In-house experience is preferred although not essential

· Specialised in IP with significant experience in IP enforcement, in particular in relation to trade marks, unfair competition, copyrights and internet related actions

· Significant experience in handling civil IP enforcement matters

· 2-4 years' post qualification

· Strong skill on legal research and analysis

· Excellent Putonghua and written Chinese

· Proficient in spoken and written English

· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

· Travel required (frequent domestic with occasional international)
