DESCRIPTION:
The Executive Recruiter will work closely with the regional and global business leaders to fill all director level above positions across the APAC region at Johnson Controls Global Headquarters East in Shanghai (also known as HQ APAC). Key customers include global CEO’s N-1, and typically N-2 to N-3. The position holder will have a very high level of organization visibility in the HQ East.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work closely with executive hiring managers and senior HR leaders to understand business need and to develop recruitment strategy to source and secure qualified candidates.
- Handles multiple open positions requiring interview skill to assess complex competencies and skills.
- Partner closely with Talent Development and Talent Management to incorporate key internal talent into searches.
- Manage the relationship with external retained agencies and negotiates and maintains all agreements.
- Disposition executive candidates sourced and manage the candidate experience through the recruiting process.
- Maintain and manage the executive referral process.
- Maintain complete and accurate Applicant Logs in ATS/CRM
- Responsible for managing executive recruitment reports and statistics to assist in the planning and forecasting of recruitment needs.
- Lead TA competency building
- Co-lead the talent pipeline initiatives with the BU TA leaders
- Take charge of talent intelligence for critical functions/sectors/countries
- Provide search & selection training/coaching to hiring managers and recruiters
- Lead/participate in other TA COE initiatives where needed
REQUIREMENTS:
Key Attributes:
The successful candidate most likely will possess the following attributes: fluent written and spoken English; intellectually smart, emotionally mature; flexible but disciplined; humble in manner but aggressive with results; hard-working but polished; customer focused. In addition, he/she should also have:
- Bachelor’s Degree or above
- Superior interview skills and extensive experience recruiting senior level positions
- Broad recruiting background in many disciplines with an emphasis on leadership recruiting
- Solid knowledge of executive compensation
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Superior interpersonal, communication and influencing skills
- Proactive attitude and assertive character
Other Characteristics:
- The professional must build/possess substantial credibility that will result in customers seeking his/her counsel about all hiring related matters.
- The professional should be pragmatic and unflappable in most situations, with an ability to communicate in a forthright manner, while recognizing the importance of diplomacy.
- This position requires maturity, strong independent judgment, common sense, a penchant for problem solving, and excellent relationship-building skills.
- Additional qualities of a successful candidate include: team player mindset; positive attitude; high degree of credibility and confidence; collaborative and quantitative abilities.
