General Purpose:
To manage and coordinate enterprise wide security, loss prevention and crisis management related activities within assigned region and in support of the company’s business units and to provide additional support to the Vice President, Global Security, as required.
Position Reports To:
Vice President, Global Security, Enterprise Security Department
Responsibilities & Duties:
1. Supports the company by providing asset protection and security oversight within an assigned region.
2. Oversees and conducts security related investigative activities by conducting investigations into acts of malfeasance (e.g., counterfeiting & piracy, drug, unusual inventory discrepancies, theft, violence, fraud, FCPA, conflicts of interest, etc.) against the company using both internal and external resources.
3. Ensuring that investigations are conducted legally, ethically and on a timely and cost effective basis.
4. Recommends, and implements management security systems, loss prevention, and operational procedures in order to protect company assets.
5. Develops new methods and seeks innovative programs to prevent criminal activities. Coordinates with internal and external auditors to establish safeguards and protect company assets.
6. Analyze loss trends for the identification of opportunities, to strengthen internal processes and minimize risk.
7. Work closely with all other functions particularly, Compliance, Internal Audit, Legal, HR, and Finance in performing fact-finding investigations.
8. Coordinates investigative resources through third parties investigative suppliers and vendors.
9. Oversees and directs contractual security agreements and related expenses; ensures agreements meet company cost and quality guidelines.
10. Develops new methods to identify, reduce and control inventory shrinkage and other losses that negatively impact profits.
11. Develops and maintains alarm systems such as fire, burglary, and CCTV, and key control, safe protection, associate package control, pedestrian and vehicle control systems in order to maintain a safe work environment.
12. Directs and ensures the security of facilities and associates during emergency situations such as disasters, labor interruptions and accidents in order to minimize damage and costs.
13. Develops and administers the C-TPAT (U.S. Customs – Trade Partnership against Terrorism) and BASC (Business Anti Smuggling Coalition) programs, at assigned locations, by providing the leadership and direction necessary to secure the global supply chain.
14. Acts as a liaison between the company and law enforcement agencies, fire agencies, insurance companies, corporate attorneys, and other legal entities.
15. Directs the maintenance of loss prevention records and reports in order to ensure confidentiality.
16. Directs and has overall responsibility for short- and long-term planning; deployment of resources; budgeting and expense control; and implementation of operational policies, programs, and systems for a major functional area.
17. Creates, develops and administers loss prevention, security and crisis awareness and training programs at assigned locations.
18. Oversees and conducts the security risk assessment program within assigned region
19. Administers the company’s Executive Protection program within assigned region.
20. Supports the company’s brand protection and anti piracy programs within assigned region.
21. Supports the enterprise and business unit crisis management teams and direct key employee protection assignments when required.

Minimum Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree, in related field (Criminal Justice, Business Administration, Finance, etc.), preferred.
2. Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) or Certified Protection Professional (CPP), or ability to obtain designation within 6 months of employment.
3. Minimum of ten years experience in corporate, law enforcement or military security or investigative area.
4. Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
5. Energetic self-starter requiring minimal management supervision.
6. Ability to organize workload for effective implementation.
7. Ability to analyze complex financial data (e.g. transaction reporting within SAP, travel & entertainment expense reports, vendor data, competitive bid information, etc.), formulate conclusions based on data collected from various sources, develop control recommendations where necessary, and present findings and recommendations.
8. Ability to identify the impact of potential control weaknesses to financial statements based on the results of the investigations.
9. Ability to interact effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures.
10. Ability to function as an effective team member.
11. Strong knowledge of criminal and corporate investigative practices and procedures.
12. Strong knowledge of executive protection and brand protection.
13. Strong and proven knowledge of interviewing and interrogation skills and practices.
14. Working knowledge of laws governing investigative practices including privacy, evidence, etc
15. Working knowledge of case preparation and referral practices required by law enforcement and the courts.
16. General knowledge of distribution center, manufacturing and transportation practices and procedures.
17. Ability to travel within assigned region.
18. Must be fluent in the English language.
