Key areas of responsibilities:

Materials Engineering:

· Selects, manages and develops responsive and cost competitive suppliers for product design.

· Coordinates the early supplier involvement for new product under the development and the DFX across the entire product development phases.

· Ensures the on-time delivery of materials and samples from suppliers for Lab prototyping, production prototyping, and initial production ramp-up.

· Works with design engineers to review the drawings and ensures the sufficient qualification for sourced parts/assemblies to be compliant with quality system requirements.

· Provides leader role to identify and resolve material/assembly issues that impact time-to-market, cost, quality, and reliability in product development and mass production.

· Interfaces with suppliers for technical and quality problems during the product design and mass production and negotiates cost, technical, quality, environmental terms and conditions with suppliers.

· Participates in the supplier audit specific for the processes related to VSS products and issues SCAR to follow up with suppliers on the corrective actions.

· Participates in new product transfers from design to manufacturing and supports production procurement to solve the supplier related issues as required.

· Assists manufacturing procurement to resolve the supply issues for customized materials.

Job Requirements:

· Academic/Professional Qualification: Minimum a Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering or Mechanical engineering, Industrial Engineering or related discipline.

· At least 5-year experiences in sourcing and supplier selection/management for related commodities of electronic devices.

· Strong knowledge in multiply commodities of materials, familiar with PCB/PCA technologies, and manufacturing process; knowledge of supply chain; strong communication skills and good negotiation skills; proficiency in both spoken and written English and Chinese; strong ability to interface effectively with various functional areas as well as suppliers.

· Strong initiatives and sense of responsibility. Able to work both independently and with teammate fulfilling assignment effectively. Able to manage time, priorities, and multi-tasks to meet timeline.
