Responsibilities:
1. Generate functional and performance requirements from product specifications
2. Collaborate with program management to develop schedules and cost/time estimates
3. Write 'C' code to implement firmware designs in the embedded system
4. Use configuration management tools to control firmware artifacts
5. Interface with SQA group to develop design verification test methods
6. Use defect tracking tools to improve firmware quality
Experience:
1. 5+ years designing microcontroller based embedded firmware systems
2. Demonstrated history of delivering quality products to market
3. Real-Time Operating Systems, firmware design, and C code
4. Working knowledge of communications protocols, such as CAN, SPI, I2C and Modbus
5. Familiarity with source code control systems
6. Competency with oscilloscopes and logic analyzers
