Job Title: Senior Scientist,Medical measurement and intelligent algorithm

Responsibilities:
Lead orsupport in developing innovative physiological/physical monitoring solutionsfor various healthcare applications.
Lead orsupport in algorithm design, device prototyping and clinical study that areneeded for developing these solutions.
Helpidentify research directions in monitoring technologies that potentially havehigh impact on the Philips Healthcare business, based on thorough understandingof unmet needs and up-to-date technological development.
Contributeto establishing the group know-how and competency on measurement and monitoringtechnologies and applications, in particular those relevant to the Philipsbusiness.
Beresponsible for smooth and efficient execution of research projects, and takingefforts in translating research outcome into business opportunities.
Activelyseek for open innovation opportunities with universities, institutes and otherexternal knowledge centers, to ensure the success of research projects.
Managewell the research outcome in the form of IP, internal technical reports andquality publications, where applicable.
Workalong with peer colleagues across projects, groups and labs, remain open insharing insights and make sure communication goes well and timely.

Requirements:
PhDdegree in biomedical engineering or a major alike.
Excellentresearch capability demonstrated with good track record (e.g. publications atrenowned international journals/conferences). Overseas experience is a strongplus.
Solidknowledge and understanding of human physiology/pathology, medical device rationales/specificationsas well as physiological signal specifications.
Hands-onexperience with algorithm and medical device development, including systemdesign, signal processing, feature extraction and relevant software andhardware tools (e.g., MATLAB, C++, LABVIEW)
Knowledgeof and previous involvement in clinical trials are preferred.

Efficientand effective in communication, with good grasp of English both oral andwritten.
