Key areas of responsibilities
• Execute Philips yearly supplier sustainability audit plan together with relevant CT managers and SAMs
• Get this yearly audit plan implemented via Philips qualified 3rd party auditing firms
• Monitor and improve the performance of 3rd party auditing firms
• Perform supplier sustainability resolving audits for potential or high risk suppliers
• Drive suppliers to improve their sustainability performance and close their major non-conformances identified from the initial or re-audits
• Report status of supplier sustainability improvement status monthly and escalate if suppliers have difficulties to close their major non-conformances
• Manage supplier sustainability database to ensure the data are at high quality level to pass annual report audit by an auditing firm (e.g., KPMG)
• Involve in the supplier selection and qualification process in order to ensure that suppliers to comply with Philips Supplier Sustainability Declaration (SSD) requirement
• Involve in different sustainability related activities
• Promote Philips sustainability practices and learn from others about how to improve Philips sustainability practices (e.g., EICC working groups, MNCs’ sustainability working groups in China)
• sustainability management process in general and audit & development program in particular
• Communicate supplier sustainability results internally and externally to promote Philips brand value (via internal and external publications)
• Provide relevant supplier sustainability information to relevant stakeholders on the request basis
• Upon request, participate in global programs (e.g. circular economy, energy efficiency).
• Lead cooperation with suppliers and SAMs on compliance of suppliers to the Sustainability Declaration, preparation and follow-up of the sustainability audits and supplier coaching.
