PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES主要工作职责
- Apply the knowledge and expertise to develop innovative solutions in the areas of consumer devices, such as domestic appliance, personal health and personal care devices.
- Conduct scientific studies for understanding, characterizing, developing and applying materials leading to potential use, plan and execute experimental laboratory production of materials having special characteristics to confirm feasibility of processes and techniques for potential use, and determine ways to strengthen or combine materials or develop new materials with new or specific properties for use in a variety of products and applications. The experience in studying structures and properties of various polymeric materials is preferred.
- Keep up-to-date on the technological development in the areas of material science, and help identify related research topics translatable to business opportunities.
- Contribute to building up know-how and competency in the area of material science. .
- Be responsible for smooth and efficient execution of research projects, and deliver results on time and in good quality as required.
- Document well the research outcome in the form of IP, internal technical reports and quality publications, where applicable.
- Work with peer colleagues across projects, groups and labs, and make sure communication goes timely as needed. May guide the juniors engaged in developing and applying materials for specific use in device.
- Make good use of open innovation opportunities with external parties, such as universities, institutes and companies, for the successful running of responsible projects.

Identify research directions based on chemistry experience that have good transfer potential to business sectors.
Achieve good balance, for the developed solutions, between the performance and consumer product compatibility (i.e., low cost and reliable).

JOB REQUIREMENTS岗位要求
- PhD degree in material science, material engineering, polymeric chemistry.
- >5 years hands-on research experience, preferably in consumer applications (domestic appliance and personal care).
- Excellent research capability on material sciences and/or polymer chemistry, demonstrated with good track record, e.g. publications at renowned international journals/conferences.
- Broad and solid experience covering various materials and application areas.
- Good insights of pros and cons of technologies in relation with specific applications.
- Experience in working in project teams and cross-disciplinary co-operation (chemistry, physics, mechanics, physiology).
- Good analytical skills to understand and interpret data from materials and machines.
- Advanced writing skills, researching, deductive and inductive reasoning, and interpreting information in order to convey to others.
- Passionate, open-minded, with a good team spirit, and results-oriented.
- Effective communication skills, good grasp of English both orally and literally.
