Job Description
HC-Sustaining Engineer - Mechanical

• Work closely withPhilips engineering team and supplier management team to plan and manage lifecycle of our ultrasound systems components (managing end of life/EOP) to ensureuninterrupted production of our value segment products.
• Qualify EOP product components’ next generation upgrade orreplacements maintaining transparency and/or improvement in performance,quality and cost metrics.
• Execute sustaining changes following Philips Ultrasound sustainingand lifecycle management release process.
• Ensure Quality and Compliance in all activities related to the postrelease system design/manufacturing change process
• Partner with Vendors and RDEs for technical resolution of queriesrelated to system cost reduction
• Lead the interface with Vendors for technical resolution of queriesrelated to part/system defects identified in manufacturing line
• Lead and execute root cause analysis for technical issues relatedto defects identified in manufacturing line, field reported failures, andprovide technical solutions in partnering with RDE’s, the product’s core team,and vendors.
• Support regulatory compliance testing for applicable design changes
• Partner with supply chain team to ensure timely execution of PP andPPV and implementation of CN/CIP process

Job Requirements and Profile:
• Requires a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) or Bachelor of Science(B.S.), or higher degree in Mechanical Engineering (for ME sustaining role),Master’s degree is preferred
• Minimum 4-8 years of experience in the field of mechanical productdevelopment (for ME role),, with strong experience of working multiple/crossfunction and sites;
• Familiar with state-of-the-art development techniques and problemsolving and testing equipment/tools.
• As ME, experience of using CAD/Solidworks., knowledge of the designof mechanical constructions in plastic and/or metal and preferably, goodexperience with Tolerance analysis.
• FEA/DFM/DFSS/Architecture experience will be a plus.
• You show strong motivation & drive, and are quality & costdriven.
• The ability to balance innovation and practical realization;
• Determination in decision making, troubleshooting, flexibility andindependence; be able to manage complex project;
• You are a team player and you have good coordination, strongcommunication and coaching skills.
• Fluent in English (oral & writing)
• Travel between Shanghai and Suzhou site, some international travelare required
