Supplier Quality Engineer (New Opening)

Report to: Purchasing Manager based in Guangzhou.
Function Report to SQM Director based in Shanghai (Japanese).

Responsibility:
1. Coordinates supplier development activities for a designated area (China).
2. Ensure that plant SQA's are supporting company supplier evaluation system.
3. Create a supplier development strategy and identify weaknesses on supplier side and to work out adequate countermeasures.
4. Coordinate SD strategy and corresponding activities together with the counterparts in other areas.
5. Complete SD Strategy has to be verified by Director, Supply Chain and Director PQ. Supplier Development improvements have to be provided by data (including GDP supplier targets).
6. Have ability to create a common system for regular reports and have to use common quality tools (Audit, etc.).
7. Local plant SQA's are directly connected to the SD engineer function in form of a matrix organization. The SD engineer has to supervise these SQA's for determined supplier activities.

Requirement:
Bachelor degree with the major in mechanical/Industrial engineering;
Has working experience in SQA or Product function of international automotive industry
Excellent communication and facilitation skill
Fluent oral and written English
Product Engineer background is preferred.
