Job Description
As Project Manager for the Application Center in Asia, you will be part of our Asian Hub within the Global Projects organization. We have the responsibility to design & manufacture fixtured nutrunner systems and other such applications such as torque reaction arms and software solutions. Our customers are in China, Korea, Japan and South East Asia.

This position will be assigned to different projects as PM by the Project Team Manager. This position is responsible for all project management activities which include the financial and technical results of the projects which he/she is assigned.


Mission
Your mission is to lead projects quoted by the Proposal team. You will be responsible for ensuring the best technical solutions are provided that fulfil Atlas Copco targets regarding consolidated profitability, customer satisfaction, high quality & reliability, on-time delivery.


Major responsibilities:
You will be responsible for:
1. Executing projects according to the ACTA customer order project process and reaching the project goals for cost, scope, time, quality and customer satisfaction
2. Leading teams assigned to the projects and acting as the main point of contact
3. Handling change requests during project implementation, both internal and from customer
4. Communicating project progress both internally and externally in a timely manner
5. Monitoring project progress compared to the project goals and process, and making corrections or time adjustments to reach these goals
6. Ensuring the customer requirements are met and that Final Acceptance is achieved
7. Ensuring the project is handed over to the Service Department
8. Carrying out Customer Satisfaction Surveys per project
9. Applying information and lessons learned and reuses best practice solutions from previous projects and pre-studies to increase project effectiveness
10. Support ACA proposal team and sales engineers during the quotation phase;

This position reports to the Project Team Manager of ACA, within the Motor Vehicle Division.


Experience Requirements
1. Candidates must have at least 5 years’ experience in an engineering related field, and including at least 2 years of project management experience
2. PMP certification is a plus
3. Experience must include at least 2 years of engineering implementation. 2 years of mechanical/electrical designing is a plus.


Education requirements
B.S. Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
Fluent spoken and written English and Chinese (Mandarin)


Knowledge
1. good knowledge about project management tools, theory and goal setting
2. Knowledge of Motor Vehicle and/or General Industry segments are a plus
3. Understanding and interest in customer tightening applications
4. understanding of competition and product positioning
5. understanding of mechanical/electrical design, basic understanding of programming and CAD software, understanding of tightening/fastening theory
6. MS office, MS Project, AutoCAD, Lotus Notes
