WuXi AppTec Shanghai has few openings available for In Vivo Electrophysiologists. The successful candidates will join a team of scientists using electrophysiological animal models to support our global clients in exploring the role of drug targets and their ligands in CNS and other therapeutical disease areas.

Key Accountabilities

Design and perform innovative in vivo electrophysiological experiments
Apply an in-depth knowledge and state-of-the-art technology to address neuronal mechanistic questions and candidate drug assessments.
Maintain presence in scientific field by presenting at project meetings and workshops as well as publishing papers etc.
Effective member of multi-disciplinary teams
Strong written and oral communication skills and ability to make presentations to customers.

Background and experience desired

Success in development and application of electrophysiological technique
Experiences of in vivo/systemic electrophysiology would be especially highly valued
Background in CNS and pain field or somatosensory physiology preferable
MSc degree in Neurophysiology, Pharmacology or related biological sciences
Good communication skills
Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team
