The main activity of this role is to partner with bioinformatics, genomics laboratory scientists, Corporate IT and the IT function of customers to identify and implement the appropriate IT infrastructure and computational solution for the capture, management and utilization of data and information to serve Genome Center’s business needs. The responsibilities will include but not limited to IT infrastructure design and maintenance, network design and optimization for huge amount of genomics data, computational system solution evaluation and implementation, data flow management, workflow design and management, collaboration with corporate IT for integration, serving customers’ specific IT needs, etc.

Minimum requirements:

Master in computer science, EE or a related field with previous experience in genomics next generation sequencing; Excellent people, leadership, analytical and written/verbal communication skills; Familiar with IT infrastructure, net work, computational system solutions; Evidence of working in a customer-focused informatics groups; Self-starter; drives accomplishments with a minimum of supervision; 4+ years of work experience in IT function; 2+ years of work experience in genomics/NGS field; Demonstrated proficiency in multiple software programming languages; Working knowledge of a broad range of biological and chemical databases; Fluency in both English and Chinese.
