Consumer Insight Senior Manager
Our Consumer Insight Division is based in Shanghai and is adding to our service offerings by focusing on the voice of the affluent consumers and on a deep understanding of their motivations and behaviors. To this end we are seeking to add a Senior Manager to our CI Team complement to enable and support the implementation of our ambitious business plan for the Division.
In this position, reporting to our Head of Consumer Insight, Asia Pacific, you will be an integral part to drive our Consumer Insight qualitative and quantitative service offerings and deliveries. This position is a senior member of the Consumer Insight Division. Your primary responsibilities include:
? Research and share valuable and actionable consumer insight for our premium and luxury brand clients that craft a story, drive smarter decisions for them and improve their business results.
? Provide thought leadership and strategic guidance towards the design, execution and delivery of integrated consumer experiences, branding, retail and marketing initiatives.
? Determine appropriate research approach, methodology, survey instruments and tools to meet Consumer Insight projects’ objectives and timelines.
? Provide consultation and research solutions to our commercial business units in the field.
? Manage and develop CI Team into a powerhouse in the industry and enable its members to become affluent consumer experts.
This is a challenging role for an entrepreneurial, consumer-centric, passionate and experienced Market Research professional; an exciting opportunity to work with the biggest names in premium and luxury brands. The ideal candidate should have the following credentials:
? Undergraduate B.S. degree in economics, statistics or business. And MBA or master degree in Market Research or Marketing is preferred.
? 5-7 years of experience with a recognizable Market Research firm with progression to a Senior Manager or Associate Director role
? Experience in leading engagement end-to-end as an Engagement Manager, including gathering client’s (internal or external) expectations, scope and structure a project, design study approach and get alignment from key stakeholders, gather data and conduct in-depth analysis, and present analysis in a story-telling format.
? Deep expertise in conducting research to enable clients to formulate strategies on topics including branding, shopper insights, market entry, customer satisfaction, product innovation and etc.
? Working knowledge of survey methodologies, database management, analytics and other data-mining tools.
? Experience in consumer and retail industries. Luxury industry experience is a plus.
? Experience in mentoring and managing junior members of the team.
? A commercial flair and the demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective client relationships at senior levels.
? Exceptional written and oral communication skills. Fluency in English. Working knowledge of a second language is preferred (Asian or European).
? Multi-cultural sensitivity and a global mindset.
