Key Responsibilities
? Lead Software design relative to the hardware
? Responsible to define requirements, embedded software design, coding, unit testing, debugging, system
? Pro-actively interact with the rest of the development team to ensure that the design meets it functional and quality targets
? Responsible for resources planning, works assignments and status review
? Report to Software Manager

Key Requirements
? BS/MS degree in computer software engineering
? 5 years experience in embedded software development using the C
? Previous experience working with data communications and embedded multi-threaded operating systems
? An excellent problem solver with systematic debugging skills
? Experience working on large software code bases with many developers contributing
? Able to take responsibility for complex software components and drive them through the design, development and acceptance phases
? Generate documentation which defines or describes software requirements, architecture, design, verification, and modifications
? Participate and take responsibility for all levels of software life cycle on the assigned projects
? Participate with internal teams to drive and improve methodology, processes, and tools
? Manage version control for software releases and maintain relevant version control records
? Good level of English (speaking & writing)

Other requirements
? Familiar with Qualcomm or Intel modem chipsets
? Previous experience developing products that use Wireless protocols such as LTE, HSPA, CDMA or GPRS
? Familiar with 3GPP and 3GPP2 protocol specifications
? Familiar with ARM processor architecture and tool chains
? Familiar with embedded driver development such as USB, UART, GPIO, I2C or audio
? Familiar with memory management systems, file systems, and memory protection algorithms.
? Familiar with GPS operation and control
? Familiar with microcontroller and RF hardware operation
Familiar with embedded software debugging tools such as Oscilloscope and Logic Analyzer
