职位描述
1. Accountable for thorough project assessments to reach best possible equipment and process solutions for new product launches and site selection. Collaborate with other Commercialization departments as a team to minimize design and project scope gaps and to own the delivery of a reliable and repeatable production process for Operations while delivering and meeting target efficiencies and quality standards. Develops and provides product characterization and specifications and well-thought out and defined equipment project scope and design information to Site Engineering, Operations, and Contract Manufacturers to assure necessary key information and tools are in place to execute and produce product efficiently.
2. Identifies, defines, and develops mid to long-term plan for regional Engineering and Production Operations capability requirements to meet Corporate, Marketing, and Research & Development goals which also include capacity considerations. Communicates and updates the entire organization on readiness status as relates to Engineering and Production Operations capability to meet new business requirements. Develops and makes site selection recommendations for new and modified existing products to Senior Leadership based on cost or strategic direction. Ensures continuous improvement in reliability and cost while increasing efficiencies and capacity.
3. Technical review, oversight, and guidance of proposed scope and design for all regional new product or equipment projects. Trouble-shooting, reassessment, and development of action plans for flawed designs in a timely manner.
4. Develops and recommends Engineering Policies and Procedures consistent with the company objectives. To include, but not limited to, new product testing procedures, development and implementation of new processes to reduce existing gaps, problem solving, and improving technical information transfer to Site Engineering and Production Operations technical resource personnel.
5. Responsible for providing the technical resources to ensure equipment maintenance upkeep and to set up and operate equipment for experimentation trials in the Commercialization Center.
6. Plans, organizes, and guides the functions associated with utilization of new and existing equipment in Production Operations as well as support for the assessment of Production Operations for the regional manufacturing plant(s). Assures all equipment and processes compete globally, meet established labor and overhead targets and improve company's environmental impact.
7. Annual development and review support for all regional Mary Kay plant's CapEx budget plans. Identify and execute cost reduction projects.
8. Identify and lead the development & qualification of new packaging and processing equipment technologies. Interfaces with Dallas Corporate Engineering, regional Production Operations, and contract suppliers to integrate new technology and equipment in the most cost-effective manner while maintaining project status on track and mitigating potential customer service issues caused by new product introduction timing requirements. Negotiates with vendors to minimize equipment costs. Develops and implements the long term equipment strategy for regional Mary Kay manufacturing sites.
In addition to the above, incumbent is expected to meet the required competencies for this position as defined in the competency profile.
