Position Responsibilities:
1. SunGard is looking for a Software Engineer to be responsible for the development of bespoke and custom solutions.
2. AvantGard Quantum is an award-winning treasury management system that helps organizations throughout the world manage their cash, manage their debt and investments,
and assess and manage various types of risk, such as currency and interest rate risk. It also provides support for multiple languages, and helps to promote
connectivity within complex treasury departments.
3. The Software Engineer will join the Enterprise Solution team alongside 7 other people based in Shanghai.
4. Needs 40-50% Business Travel

Main responsibilities:
1. Support existing VB.Net, C#, VB6, VBA and ASP.Net solutions.
2. Write specifications and maintain documentation for technical and business solutions.
3. Write and modify software to meet specified functional and technical requirements.
4. Conform to development processes, work instructions and standards.
5. Interact with Development Manager of SunGard AvantGard ensuring a common high standard is maintained.
6. Participate in technical/functional requirements walk-through, release planning and status meetings. Meeting participants are based in locations of multiple time
zones.
7. Provide technical advice and assistance to team.
8. Promote a culture of excellence and quality and seek continuous improvement.
9. Provide support, training and assistance to others including peer reviews.
10. Produce development estimates and monitor actual effort against estimates.
11. Provide prompt escalation of functional, technical and project issues to Management.
12. Remain up to date with functional and technical changes within the product.
13. Remain up to date with new technologies and practices relevant to the organization.

Position Requirements:
1. IT Bachelor or Master degree
2. 5 or more years of experience in software development.
3. Experience in Banking and Finance Sectors
4. Fluent English (written & spoken) mandatory
5. Experience with .Net, C# or VB, ASP.Net and MVC solutions essential.
6. Experience in JQuery, AJAX, XML and Razor View also.
7. Experience with Crystal Reports.
8. Experience with Object Oriented Programming and Design.
9. Experience with Microsoft SQL Server essential, Oracle is a plus.
10. Good communication skills are essential
11. Good team player and client focused
12. Analytical,design and problem solving skills
13. Keen interest for the functional aspect of the role

Additional Notes:
1. Good communication skills are essential (English spoken, written and comprehension), the person should expect significant interaction with architects, developers,
QA analysts, business analysts.
2. Highly experienced in Object Oriented Programming and Design
3. Experienced in Visual Basic.Net, C#, Visual Basic and MVC
4. Experienced in Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server
5. A high degree of numeracy and a capacity for complex concepts.
6. Sound analytical, design and problem solving skills.
7. Clear organizational / business awareness and knowledge.
8. A team player, which can also work independently under minimum supervision
9. Ability to work under pressure, achieve deadlines and effectively prioritise concurrent tasks
