Responsible for bridging between LEGO and local authorities regarding company establishment of new production facility in China in the areas of accounting, tax (transactions) and related topics. Deliver local (China) finance insight to the project group to ensure fast and correct setup of new facility.

This role will be part of the General Ledger team in Group Finance – Asia Pacific. The team is consist of 23 members and is responsible for ensuring timely and accurate monthly and yearly reporting for the 11 LEGO entities in the Asia Pacific region (total revenue approximates SG$700 mil).

? Be part of the LEGO “project team” setting the new plant

? Contact to local authorities regarding company registration, permissions, financial statement, reporting, VAT etc

? Setting up/implement accounting principles and processes.

? Be part of monthly closing procedure and secure that it is closed with completeness and high quality (hands on tasks will be done from SSC in Singapore)

? Ensure transparency and correct reconciliation between data in SAP.

? Improve processes quality/efficiency

? Implement Global processes and LEGO compliance and follow up on regular basis

? Close dialogue with the Plant Manager and the China team as well with the stakeholders in the LEGO Group, that is, the Transactional teams in Singapore

? Secure that the accounting and taxes are in compliance with external procedures, rules and regulations.

? Supervise contacts with external auditors and other governmental authorities; conduct of the negotiation with auditors, consultants

? Monitor cash flow during the project stage, coordinate with local project team and treasure department in Billund to make sure of sufficient fund.

? Prepare monthly financial report according to China GAAP.

? Hands on task in relation to:

? Payments

? Capital Injections

? Petty Cash

? SAP TEM

? Credit Card application

? EDH

? Intercompany loans

Requirements:

? Proven working knowledge in International Accounting (IFRS or US GAAP) 5 years + total professional experience in a multinational company

? Perfect knowledge of Chinese Accounting Standards & Tax regulations

? Understanding of Business processes of production company

? 3-5 years + professional experience as Chief Accountant/Finance Manager (must be from a production company)

? It is a MUST that the candidate is fluent in reading/writing/ speaking English and Mandarin

? CPA/ACCA Higher degree in Economics/Finance/ Accounting.
