POSITION SUMMARY
Our Client is a globally leading supplier of production equipment for the photovoltaic and consumer electronics industries. And this is a German company.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
This position will report directly to the General Manager in China and functionally to the Engineering Director in Europe.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Build up and educate a strong and innovative engineering team.
Develop and design advanced automation systems for use in manufacturing of consumer electronics
Manage technology transfer from Europe to China
Lead engineering changes to improve product quality, reliability & system cost
Develop appropriate engineering processes in alignment with European headquarter. Continually improve the Product Development Process, Engineering Systems and Knowledge Management Systems
Collaborate with Product Planning and Marketing Groups to initiate new ideas for future & existing products for the local market.
Prepare, submit and maintain operating budget for responsible area.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor degree in mechanical engineering, Master degree preferred
Knowledge of processes and technologies used in manufacturing of consumer electronics
Strong knowledge in design of automated manufacturing systems, preferably working experience in European or US equipment company
8+ years of work experience in engineering
3+ years of management experience
Strong communication skills (verbal, written, listening and presentations) in English, fluent in German will be a plus.
Possesses integrity, maintains & demands high standards
Creative thinking and innovation with analytic problem-solving ability
Highly collaborative, team-player
