A fast growing european company is looking for a Senior Sourcing Engineer to join their global sourcing team

Key Responsibility:

?implements sourcing strategies per commodity in the China & Asia / Pacific region
?supplier pre-selection, identification & evaluation
?handles global inquiries by utilizing various types of purchasing tools
?negotiates and approves contractual agreements within assigned value limits
?responsible for meeting key performance measurements including on time delivery, quality, inventory, and purchase price variance
?performs benchmarks and market analysis to ensure competitive pricing, technology and to identify potential vendors in the Asia / Pacific region
?investigates and reports on potential new technologies and markets to support long term business goals
?performs vendor audits with SQEs
?involve in transition projects from European suppliers to new sources in China

Key Requirements:

?bachelor degree in engineering. MBA preferred
?good English ability both in oral and writing
?at least five years + working experience in sourcing / global sourcing / commodity management / strategic purchasing / IPO functions in a manufacturing environment (instrumentation industry desired)
?strong sourcing & engineering background
?knowledge and understandings on several key commodities (production process)
?experienced in sourcing and supplier qualification, especially in South Korea, China Taiwan, Singapore, Japan, (Malaysia, Thailand)
?strong demonstrated capabilities on supply identification , evaluation and development
?good understanding on supply base management principles & strategies
?demonstrated negotiations and problem solving capabilities
?strong communication skills and familiar to being working in an intercultural, cross-functional environment etc.
?desire to learn and hard work on his/her own initiative
?initiative, decisiveness and enthusiasm
?willingness to travel often in Asia / Europe
