职位描述
Operational Excellence
? Be responsible for the day to day work within the team and ensure timely and proactive communication with customers and other related parties.
? Ensure excellent service.
? Have a detailed knowledge of each customer requirement.
? Ensure operation is conducted in accordance with the SOP.
? Ensure SOP in place for all clients and well filed at share drive.
? Ensure QRC in place for all clients, order for staff to have an easier reference during daily working.
? Ensure wrong and/or unreasonable issues in the SOP are addressed with client owner.
? Ensure regular SOP reviews with staff.
? Deliver defect free data quality.
? Timely communicate and maintain good relations to destination client owner.
? Proactively work to reduce risk and potential claims.
? Ensure proper and timely follow-up in case of irregularities.
? Ensure proper claim registration as well as attention in solving claims.
? Report adequately, regularly and proactively on performance and developments.
? Ensure optimization of resources across team and in cooperation with other team leaders and Ocean manager.
? Work with customers and vendors to improve our performance and service.
? Support and drive any process / system development.
? Improve efficiency and productivity in the team.
? Cooperate with Key Accounts Management (CAM) and BD team for customers within their operation.
? Have and keep proper knowledge of local market conditions.
? Be responsible for preparing and arranging customer visits.
? Encourage and ensure excellent communication with other teams in the branch.
? Assist the ocean manager to monitor and guide daily operation to make sure the daily work is completed timely and accurately.
? Build up a buddy system within team to ensure proper back-up anytime.
Business Development Excellence
? Support and drive any process / systems development.
? Ensure team is fulfilling all goals for branch.
? Strive to develop relationship to vendors through vendor workshops, vendor visits etc.
? Develop all opportunities for value-added service development with clients and vendors.
? Pursue local business development – notably trucking etc.
? Take ownership of local client management and ensure all clients are having well-planned and well-prepared visits and/or material for SGH branch.
? Develop and deliver a motivated organization.
? Try best to provide team support to offer volunteer assistance to others, inform others as well; be passionate in creating harmonic team work environment.
? Set up the model role in the team as well as the coaching role in the group is requested.
? Share knowledge and experience in order to help others and develop the team and the company together. You should encourage general knowledge sharing within the group.
? Live, communicate, inspire and promote the company culture.
? Ensure team properly managed compared to the requirements.
? Timely work with client owners, other business entities and manager in order to ensure proper staff in place and timely training.
? Assist your manager in discussing and planning the most optimal training and development plans for staff in your group.
? Conduct staff performance appraisals.
? Ensure staff rotation and variation in work in order to ensure development of skills.
? Ensure on-going feedback and coaching of staff.
? Ensure sufficient and personal attention to all staff on team.
? Initiate team workshops for relevant knowledge sharing and teambuilding.
? Encourage knowledge sharing within team and across branch.
? Evaluate training results and follow-up on staff training.
? Take initiatives to conduct local follow-up training.
? Develop and drive information sharing within team and across branch.
? Ensure clear job descriptions and objectives in place for all staff.
? Ensure adherence to HR policies and guidelines.
? In cooperation with HR and ocean manager be responsible for recruitment to team.
Financial Excellence
? Ensure optimal cooperation with Finance team.
? Manage AR outstanding control and strive to minimize credit days and outstanding.
? Ensure proper data accuracy and collection of all relevant fees and charges.
? Fully comply with standard tariff.
? Ensure timely registration of claims and other financial issues.
? Ensure timely and proactive involvement in financial issues.
? Proactively analyze P&L for team and take appropriate measures and bring irregularities or concerns to manager’s attention.
? Ensure financial estimates are always based on best available knowledge for clients within responsibility.
? Maintain close cost control within team and proactively work on improvements.
? Prepare budgets for team in cooperation with ocean manager.
? Adhere to all financial policies and guidelines.
? Continuously search for and support the most cost efficient solutions.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS FOR SUCCESSFUL PERFORMANCE
? ACEDAMIC
- College degree or above with Ocean Freight , Transportation or Logistics background
? SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE
- Minimum 2-3 years working experience in Ocean function in a multi-national freight forwarding company
- Good knowledge of negotiation and Organizing skill
- Excellent communication skill and interpersonal skill
- Better relationship with carriers, customs and the related authorities
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate fluently in both English and Chinese
