Role
The role of the studio director is to ensure the quality and on-time delivery of exceptional creative work which allows a measureable business impact to the business. This individual will be responsible for leading the studio and resources to ensure studio cohesion, and consistent service level to the business. The studio director will lead and manage the day to day operations of the studio team - by engaging with other key roles in the studio and external agencies. This individual will interface with internal business clients for planning purposes, and work to ensure a consistent level of service, with the use of internal and external fixed resources. In addition to these responsibilities, the studio director will play a key role in the art direction of agencies, planning, and review of creative briefs for strategic initiatives. Qualified candidates will have experience leading a creative team or studio, be able to drive results which show clear business impact, motivate others, and inspire ideas and creativity. This position reports to the Vice President of Creative Services.
Responsibilities
·Day-to-day operations of the creative solutions studio
·Personnel management and career development for Art Director, Agency Manager, Traffic Manager, and Lead Project Manager, and their respective teams
·Ensure the creativity, quality, and business impact of all work done in their studio
·Manage, retain, and hire resources to ensure a consistent level of operations
·Ensures studio cohesion and employee engagement
·Deliver creative inspiration and strategic consulting to the business partners he/she is engaged with
·Work with other studios to share process, policy, successes and ensure continued team improvement
·Support the VP and SVP in special projects
Internal Partnership 

·Take a leadership role when working with our internal business clients – to ensure that we are meeting needs and providing the proper service level to the business

·Ensures collaboration between key resources in the creative solutions studio team – Art Director, Traffic Manager, Lead project manager, and SWAT Team Director

·Works with VP, SVP, and HR Business partners to provide clear career development for all studio roles

Qualifications

·Minimum of 5 years of experience leading a creative team

·At least 8 years professional digital & print design experience

·Strong knowledge of design process and project management

·Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, including the ability to communicate effectively in small and large groups at all levels of a client organization.

·Ability to negotiate and coordinate across multiple groups and disciplines – internal and external

·Strong leadership and people management skills

·Proven ability to mentor and develop skills in junior level employees

·Bachelors Degree (MBA Preferred, but not a must)
