Job Description
Eaton Corporation, Electronics now has an opening for Senior Magnetics Engineer in Dongguan, Guangdong.


Summary of Position:
Employees in this position take the responsibility to design and develop power inductor and transformer products, lead a product development team, and interface with customers for design and applications support.

Principal Accountabilities:
- Manage, train, and supervise 4-8 magnetics design engineers and lead interaction with different departmental functions or customers as required according to design and company procedures.
- Design and develop power inductor and transformer product for applications such as high frequency switching power supply, DC-DC converter, computer and portable power devices, energy storage application, and input-output filter application.
- Design component parts including bobbins, cores etc. for standard and custom magnetic products.
- Generate the specifications and requirements for custom products from customer specifications or from general circuit design parameters.
- Do failure mode analysis
- Support new product introduction into the factory
- Analyze circuits to determine performance requirements. Troubleshoot customer circuits. Generate component specifications and requirements for custom products.
- Contact the engineering representatives of customers to insure that the component design satisfies the intended customer's requirements for performance, quality and cost.
- Visit customers and suppliers as necessary to support the engineering, sales, purchasing and quality functions within the company.

Basic Qualifications (Including Educational Requirements)
- BSEE or other degree in Engineering, Math or Sciences or equivalent job experience.
- 5-7 years design experience in magnetic products.
- Knowledge of Magnetics, Design, and design Software including MathCad and AutoCad
- Knowledge of MS Office (MS Word and Excel)
- Mandarin and English language skills required.
- Candidates with prior experience at these companies are preferred: Pulse, Wurth, TDK, TOKO, Delta, Coilcraft or Sumida.
