Essential Responsibilities
• Lead/Manage Strategic Technology team based in China.
• Provide technical support to commodity and product sourcing teams, which may include driving technical negotiations with suppliers, supporting long-term strategy development, deciphering and sharing supplier technology roadmaps, executing V&V activities, and driving or supporting Supplier Fairs and Quarterly Technology Reviews.
• Driving operational analysis of business processes related to Supplier competitiveness and execution, and providing structure and project prioritization
• Driving project execution and process rigor in all assigned programs, ensuring quality and compliance as well as continuous process improvement and strict policy enforcement
• Ensuring proper operating mechanisms are in place to ensure project execution to meet business goals.
• Coordinate cross-functional and modality teams to develop and implement the long-term supply chain strategies, including providing technical support to assess and develop suppliers to fill technology gaps as identified in the long-term supply chain strategies
• Improving data availability/accuracy and validating global execution metrics in close coordination with the commodity sourcing teams.
• Work with Commodity and Product Sourcing teams, as well as Modality Engineering teams to generate VCP funnel opportunities and drive execution.
• Drive and support key Initiatives, including Standardization, Material Technology Change, Vitality, Should Cost and Session S.
• Provide technical support to assess and develop suppliers to fill technology gaps identified in the long-term supply chain strategies.
Quality Specific Goals:
1. Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position
2. Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines
3. Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required
4. Proficient knowledge and understanding of GEHC Purchasing Controls Procedure and associated Work Instructions and operates within them to ensure that all purchased product and services conform to specified requirements.
5. Lead the development and maintaining of fully qualified and compliant supply base.
Qualifications/Requirements
1. Bachelor’s Degree
2. Minimum 5 years experience in Product Development, Manufacturing, Sourcing or related operational functions.
3. Demonstrated advanced knowledge of manufacturing process.
4. Excellent business/financial acumen, proficient in leading and setting direction for teams, including demonstrated ability to motivate, influence and drive change at all levels of the organization.
5. Excellent growth leadership skills demonstrating clear global perspective and understand factors impacting GEHC businesses and our suppliers.
6. Excellent written and oral English language skills
7. Willing to travel domestically and internationally up to 10% of time
Desired Characteristics
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management or Manufacturing Management.
2. Master Degree
3. 7 years solid sourcing, supply chain or commercial experience including experience leading teams.
4. Global experience leading cross-functional or geographically dispersed teams
5. Proven Executive Leadership skills in driving global change across an organization, including strong Change Acceleration Process skills.
6. Experience implementing a compliant supply chain.
7. Lean training/certification.
8. Solid working knowledge of critical tools (Access and Oracle).
