PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Manages organization and leadership of team in a matrix environment. Leads all new projects for new products or re-design of existing products according to customers needs. Drives the whole process from design to testing phase while providing technical leadership to assigned technicians/engineers. Responsible for ensuring successful completion of assigned projects within budget, plan and quality constrains. Serves as a senior staff specialist in advising on feasibility and soundness of proposed engineering solutions by other team members. Has global technical design ownership of Standard MCCB’s

Lead global engineering team from EMEA, AMERICAS, APAC assigned to the Standard MCCB Global program
Hire and develop a team of people in APAC on a compressed schedule to develop a global MCCB platform, funded globally with highest level of support (sales pitch to be revised)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Accountable to lead the development of a full platform of molded case circuit breakers for global implementation
- Translates global product functional requirements and technical requirements and define process and rules of engagement between global R&D centers (configuration control)
- Defines and implements control process for engineering changes across the globe
- Has global technical design ownership of Standard MCCB’s
- Lead, manage and build up Global MCCB team in Suzhou up to 60 employees .
- Coordinate program development across the three regions consistent with program requirements
- Provide engineering functions in support of product marketing, manufacturing, and sales in line with company and product line objectives.
- Supports multi-site Industrialization phases in alignment with Manufacturing leader
- Build engineering capability to support MCCB global product line in the long term
- Develop and manage operating budget for the engineering department
- Manage and balance team workload
- Develop organizational goals and objectives
- Work with supply chain to to align with the Supply Chain strategy including early supplier engagement
- Maintain and enhance current knowledge/expertise of product engineering technologies, competitor, practices, market conditions, and channels.
- Work with supply chain to to align with the Supply Chain strategy including early supplier engagement
- BSEE or BSME, MBA or MSME/MSEE is preferred
- 8 to 15 years’ experience in product design,
- Demonstrated success in leading Global teams
- Ability to interact successfully with other disciplines to seek out solutions to problems.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and company personnel at all management, professional, and technical levels.
- Strong leadership skill, drive for results through self and others.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Chinese
- Knowledge of Global applicable standards such as UL / IEC/CCC
- Market knowledge and engineering experience in design and application of Low voltage component engineering
- International travel up to 25%
