EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
? Bachelors degree in Business, Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Mathematics, or Statistics
? 3-5 Years Production Planning experience in a manufacturing facility
? Working knowledge of Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) and Computer -based ERP Systems
? Experience developing detailed production schedules from product forecasts using both historical and planned customer order data
? Familiar with total cost analysis concepts (i.e. cost of set-up and production runs, machine costs, inventory costs, and transportation)
? Able to demonstrate a track record of accomplishments in supply chain management
? Fluent in English, both verbal and written
? Works well with all levels of Company employees from workers on the Production floor to Management
? Proficient in Microsoft Office including, word, excel and Outlook

Responsibilities for this position are but not limited to:
? May provide supervisory leadership to other production planners
? Develop and manage production schedules
? Assess and establish capacities of work cells through continuous review of set-up times, routings and run-rates of production machinery and assembly cells
? Responsible for managing Manufacturing’s on-time performance to production schedules
? Provides detail reporting to management of any delays in either production or supplier schedules
? Optimize inventory levels to meet inventory goals while achieving finished goods service levels to customers
? Insure that production schedules are in sync with purchased materials schedules to streamline and optimize the total supply chain costs
? Negotiates with suppliers for materials and services by achieving the lowest total cost
? Selects, evaluates and develops new sources supply
? Responsible for managing supplier delivery and quality performance
? Places purchase orders and expedites materials as required to support production schedules
? Expected to demonstrate a high level of ethics in carrying out the responsibilities of the postion
