Essential Responsibilities
The Global Value MR Product Manager is responsible for defining the overall strategy and development of products and services in Value MR Market Segment. Responsible for the clear definition of MR product features and benefits, capabilities, technical roadmaps, financial planning and needed solutions, for Starter and Maximizer customers. Identifies and develops opportunities for growth and market share gain. Creates a global product portfolio strategy including product positioning and current portfolio evolution; installed base growth strategy and collaborates with regional marketing on lifecycle management.
• Establish the vision and strategic plan for MR products and portfolio, for Starter and Maximizer customers.
• Develop deep understanding of customers’ clinical, operational and economic needs, as well as values and benefits sought. Prioritizes customer needs and business opportunities.
• Employ market research, clinical and industry trend analysis, market share and competitive analysis, win/loss analysis and price realization in developing global product portfolio and roadmap strategy.
• Work with a multi-functional team, which could include clinical leaders, marketing, sales, operations, engineering, services and global design to generate technical concept proposal for new products and the installed base of systems. Develop, test and prototype new product ideas.
• Own the product definition, working with key stakeholders to complete necessary market research to build a solid business case, and to gain business support for the product plan.
• Responsible for the products New Product Introductions (NPI). Deliver the products with the necessary quality, at the committed schedule, and within program budget and product cost target.
• Collaborate with clinical, marketing and engineering leaders to develop product differentiation, define product value propositions, collect evidence of value and create claims. Works with Marketing on developing positioning/messaging, tools and collateral for NPIs. Works closely with regional marketing on internal training, external launch events/announcements and sales campaigns.
• Drive effective communication across businesses and functions.
• Drive operating mechanisms to ensure behavior consistent with integrity, quality systems, and EHS requirements • Serves as a strong tie with customers, global/regional marketing teams and product development teams.
Qualifications/Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Science/Engineering, Business Administration, Medical or related field
• 7+ years experience in product development, product marketing, or related field
• Demonstrated strong analytical and process skills, including market strategic position analyses, NPI business case, project management, etc.
• Proven influencing skills working in a matrix organization.
• Experience leading a global and cross-functional project team
• Excellent oral and written communications skills
• Must be legally authorized to work in China full-time
• Must be willing to work in our Beijing, China facility full-time
• Must be willing to travel up to 30% of the time, including international travel.
Desired Characteristics
• MBA or Master’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related field
• 10+ year’s experience in product management, product marketing or related field
• Experience shaping/leading growth vision and product strategy
• Deep product management or marketing expertise.
• Healthcare product/industry acumen
• Proven ability to work globally and manage a global product.
• Clinical and technical understanding of MRI
• Mandarin language skill
