Intro:
Design the next generation product experiences. Microsoft Hardware Group is looking for passionate, talented industrial designers to join our User Experience Group. If you enjoy designing products that touch the hearts and minds of consumers as well as working with a talented, multi-disciplinary team then we want to hear from you.

Microsoft Hardware Group designs and manufactures consumer and business products for a global audience. Our product portfolio spans from keyboards, mouse and PC gaming to communication and entertainment devices. From concept to the end consumer experience you will be responsible for designing products and services for personal computing, communication, and entertainment scenarios.


Responsibilities:
- Deliver compelling design solutions.

- Develop innovative materials, finishes, and forms.
- Touch multiple projects at various phases of the development cycle.
- Strive for excellence in design, user, quality and craftsmanship of product design solutions.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary project teams to execute on overall project objectives, deliverables, and timelines.
- Help to manage the industrial design implementation process
- Work as an ID ambassador at the Microsoft Asia Center for Hardware
- Work with the ID teams, engineering and manufacturing to ensure a smooth integration of the industrial design into mass manufacturing
- Work with the US ID team and our existing partners to refine the industrial design implementation process
- Build ID as a core competency at the Microsoft Asia Center for Hardware
- Develop competency around materials and processes to be able to implement new materials and finishes
Specific Skills
-experience working with Industrial design team
-experience with hardware development
-Familiarity with manufacturing processes
-Passion for technology innovation in consumer products.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor or higher Degree in Industrial Design.

- Graduate with creative design talent or 2-3 years industry experience is in industrial design in either a corporate or consultancy environment, with an emphasis on consumer products.
