Key Responsibilities:

ensures the feasibility of manufacturing a new product relative to cost and quality is incorporated in the development process
directs the development of manufacturing process to ensure consistency with company's profit and investment objectives
ensures that the manufacturing processes, tooling and facilities advantageously by using advanced state-of-the-art technology
ensures that all programs meet the required start of production (SOP) timing
develops exclusive proprietary manufacturing processes or techniques and equipment to maintain competitive position in the marketplace
provides assistance to the production operations in solving technical problems on a day-to-day production to ensure that there is no production shutdown
ensures that manufacturing functions provide and maintain services in compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
provides accurate labor and material standards, cost estimating information, and analyses to assist management in formulating business decisions
ensures that technical productivity improvement and cost reduction strategies are being planned and implemented on an ongoing basis
provides specifications for manufacturing equipment in line with the company’s Business requirement and recommendations for equipment procurement
monitors assembly equipment through production start-up (Equipment verification process), stimulates Total Productive Maintenance in new projects
other responsibilities as assigned by Management from time to time

Key Requirements:

bachelor’s degree or above, master’s and/or other advanced academic degrees preferred
manufacturing / mechanical engineering background, five to eight years of working experience in mechanical engineering field
at least two years of work experience in management position
professional knowledge / skills
people management
related Stamping Process knowledge
basic equipment knowledge
lean manufacturing
three to five years of experience in engineering of automotive industry
engineering process experience
product experience on component and system level
CAD systems experience (plus)
