Description:
Establish and maintain carbon friction manufacturing process that produces product according to the technology licensed to the factory
Establish and maintain carbon process control system through writing and updating working Instruction, including Process
Control Card and other process control charts.
Work closely with Information Technology to identify and collect the correct data at the right frequency to ensure sustainable process control
Supervise the collection, review, dissemination, and archiving of material property, microstructure, and performance data that meets engineering requirements.
Maintain a frozen carbon manufacturing process subject to a configuration controlled change process
Focal point for processing technical changes made to process specification and necessary process modifications.
Review, control and manage the implementation of productivity and process improvements to achieve cost and lead time

reductions, provide recommendation for the implementation of new technology to improve carbon process productivity and qualit y.
Monitor and control proposed changes to process to ensure that all changes anywhere in the process are validated by design engineering and configuration controlled.
Working closely with customer on process and quality improvement.
Maintains configuration control of carbon process plans, parameters, tooling and traceability.
Responsible for training carbon process employees to make them improve their work skills continuously.
Arrange the carbon process production plan to meet the manufacturing needs.
Review collected carbon data, statistical process control parameters, including microstructure and dynamometer performance to ensure process remains within control and product remains consistent
Leads troubleshooting of carbon process when process excursions of product variation occurs.
LEADERSHIP
Responsible for operator’s technical & spec training and qualification
Leads Root-Cause-Corrective-Action team during troubleshooting
COMMUNICATION
Escalates identification of process or product variation immediately
Provides monthly reports of carbon process and product data to management and quality department
Interfaces with customer and JV partner engineering to ensure good communication
Presents status report to leadership as part of management operating system
COACHING AND MENTORING
Create a work environment conductive to employee moral, motivation, growth and teamwork to accomplish performance objectives
Use effective coaching techniques to develop a culture of employee engagement

Support and maintain 5s in office areas of responsibility.

Education level and/or relevant experience(s)
BS degree in Materials Science and Engineering or closely related field with emphasis on carbon materials.
5 years direct experience
Knowledge and Skills (general and technical)
English Read, writing & spoken ability. Be proficient in translation of notes, specifications, regarding carbon process and other necessary documentation in to Mandarin.
Be able to clearly explain process requirements and convert into organized operation sequences
Ability to create process and work instructions in both English and Mandarin
Is familiar with high temperature processing equipment as used for carbon manufacturing, including chemical vapor deposition, heat treat, and pyrolysis equipment.
Is skilled with analytical equipment and techniques used for characterizing carbon composites
Good computer application ability
