Primary Purpose
Harris Corporation, a Melbourne, Florida-headquartered US Fortune 500 company, through its China subsidiary, continues to expand its presence in the China region by expanding the Healthcare Solutions business. Harris China team develops state-of-the-art software for the booming healthcare industry in North America, Europe, and China. The company recently launched our General Availability release of our product suite of Clinical Integration Platform, now an MU2-certified product. Our rapidly growing client base includes some of the largest and most prominent healthcare organizations in the countries and regions we serve. The successful candidate will help manage the development of 2-3 products, primarily responsible for understanding requirements and technical guidance for junior developers. This includes, but not limited to:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
? Review and analyze product specifications, system level requirements, user stories, and use cases.
? Coordinate with developers, product owners, scrum masters, testers, systems engineering and product management to gain further understanding of the product and/or requirements.
? Develop design specifications that align with specifications.
? Modify and create special purpose software and ensure system efficiency and integrity.
? Translate detailed design into executable software.
? Create unit tests to ensure software aligns with specifications.
? Debug and refine software based on tester inputs.
? Develop and maintain applications software, database packages, compilers, assemblers, and utility programs with limited oversight.
? Participate in developer code reviews of peer or junior developer’s code.
? Support estimation and scoping of code activities.
? Provide technical direction to less experienced programmers.
? Participate in Scrum-based meetings, including daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, planning sessions, backlog grooming and sizing sessions.
? Update User Stories, including completed tasks, timelines, and validate completion criteria with the product owner(s).
? Document defects/issues found throughout the development cycle into the Defect tracking system. Provide updates as needed.
? Conduct analysis, development and maintenance of software interfaces in an independent manner
? Other duties as required by business conditions or as assigned.
? Technologies used include: Java, JEE, GWT, GXT, Ajax, SharePoint, eclipse and COTS integration in a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA).
? Mentor junior software engineers.
? 10-20%+ travel required; required travel to US HQ to network with US team.

Position Requirements
? Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent.
? A minimum of 10 years of applicable experience.
? Minimum 5 years with JEE, Java and eclipse development platform.
? Minimum 5 years of experience developing complex systems utilizing a significant amount of COTS.
? Minimum 5 years of experience developing SW in SOAs.
? Ability to lead development teams through all phases of the software development lifecycle.
? Ability to communicate fluently in English and Mandarin.

Skills and Abilities
? Experience with Client-server architectures, Application Servers, blade technology, interfacing with an ESB, Java, GXT, GWT, JPA/JDBC, JMS, RMI, GUIs, and Linux.
? JavaScript / Perl / Python, AJAX, XML, eclipse and javascript scripting preferred.
? Experience with Oracle SQL, SQL Server and/or mySQL
? Database knowledge a plus.
? NoSQL Database knowledge a plus.
? Experience developing using Maven and Jenkins a plus.
? Understanding of Agile or Scrum SW development processes.
? Must be a team player able to work in a large program environment and have good communications skills.
? Experience developing software solutions in the Healthcare domain.
? Ability to work flexible hours to accommodate the requirement in a global operation environment.
? Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
? Experience studying or working abroad would be preferable.
