Primary Purpose
Harris Corporation, a Melbourne, Florida-headquartered US Fortune 500 company, continues to expand its presence in the China region by growing and expanding the Healthcare Solutions business. Harris China team develops state-of-the-art software for the booming healthcare industry in North America, Europe, and China.
The successful candidate will have excellent graphic, user interface, and information design skills. Experience in prototyping with HTML/CSS/JavaScript (jQuery) will be a plus. The responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
? Participate in a design process involving research, user testing, and usability analysis.
? Incorporate usability testing feedback in designs.
? Elicit constructive feedback and capable of interpreting that feedback into design solutions.
? Perform field research to discover and implement important design details that people may not realize they need.
? Collaborate with others and work well with developers and product management.
? Be Familiar with Agile/Scrum methodology.
Position Requirements
? Relevant undergraduate degree or 3+ years of web and user application design experience.
? Ability to solve all sorts of design challenges with creativity, efficiency and precision; a full stack designer (interaction, usability, graphic design, html, css).
? Graphic/visual design, interaction design skills
? Skilled at building original web sites and applications focused on user experience.
? Demonstrated custom web design skills that show creativity beyond applying third-party templates.
? Must be self-directed, confident and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
? Excellent communication, both written and spoken English.
? Business travel required; required travel to US HQ to network with US team.
Skills and Abilities
? Able to integrate UX into Agile development practices.
? Strong visual design skills: latest trends, color and typography.
? Strong interaction design skills: wireframe, prototyping, HTML/CSS/JavaScript (jQuery).
? A passion for semantic mark-up and standards.
? Experience with iOS and Android mobile designs.
? Must be a team player able to work in a large program environment and have good communications skills.
? Ability to work flexible hours to accommodate the requirement in a global operation environment.
? Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
? Experience studying or working abroad would be preferable.
