Job Description:
1. Present and sell company products and services to potential clients.
2. Prepare action plans and schedules to identify specific targets and to project the number of contacts to be made.
3. Follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity.
4. Identify sales prospects and contact these and other accounts.
5. Prepare presentations, proposals and sales contracts.
6. Develop and maintain sales materials and current product knowledge.
7. Establish and maintain current client and potential client relationships.
8. Prepare paperwork to activate and maintain contract services.
9. Manage account services through quality checks and other follow-up.
10. Identify and resolve client concerns.
11. Prepare a variety of status reports, including activity, closings, follow-up, and adherence to goals.
12. Communicate new product and service opportunities, special developments, information, or feedback gathered through field activity to appropriate company staff.
13. Coordinate company staff to accomplish the work required to close sales.
14. Develop and implement special sales activities to reduce stock.
15. Report competition activities in terms of product sample, catalog, price and events.
16. Other duties as assigned.
Additional Responsibilities:
1. Participate in marketing events such as seminars, trade shows, and telemarketing events.
2. Follow-up for collection of payment.
3. Coordinate shipping schedules and delivery of merchandise and services.
4. Provide on-the-job training to new sales employees.
Education Required:
Bachelor degree, major in mechanical, chemical and ocean shipping logistics is preferred.
Special Skills/Abilities Required :
Ability to persuade and influence others.
Ability to create, composes, and edits written materials.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Willingness to learn and practice, hands on ability is required.
Visibility requires maintaining a professional appearance and providing a positive company image to the public.
Work requires significant local travel to current and potential clients. This requires the possession of a valid driver’s license and skills for safe driving.
Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule and occasional over time task and overnight travel.
Experience/Knowledge Required:
Experience in industrial consumable products business is a plus.
Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills required. A good understanding of written English essential, spoken English is advantage but not essential.
Knowledge of Direct Selling techniques. Evidence of previous success would be an advantage.
Other requirement:
Working conditions are normal for a Home office environment. Work requires significant local travel and may require occasional overnight travel and weekend and/or evening work.
When working in the field related to heavy industry manufacture, chemical company or shipping/cargo loading place. The essential safety concept and compliance is required while Company will provide basic PPE.
