Responsibilities1. Ensure performance of laboratory testing according to quality standards in place as well as to quality assurance/control procedures.
2. Responsible for good log in and log off practices in password protected computerized environment according to procedures
3. PERFORMING TESTING
Ensure specimens to be tested are available
Check pending worksheets
Prepare material and reagents and related documentation
Maintain of suitable work place
Solve simple analytical problems
Carry out laboratory testing according to plans and procedures

4. ENSURE VALIDITY AND RELIABILITY OF RESULTS
Prepare and test controls
Check results according to quality control rules in place
Make and document suitable corrective actions when needed
Processing results : Validate electronically results transfer according to procedures in place
Perform linearity and stability tests upon supervisor request

5. OPTIMIZE REAGENTS MANAGEMENT
Participate actively in suitable cost control of department supplies and reagents
Report reagents inventory status to supervisor to ensure proper supply
Reduce biohazard and chemical wastes as much as possible

6. EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE
Perform daily, weekly, monthly and on request maintenance
Ensure troubleshooting of simple technical problems within his/her area
Calibrate instruments
Check manufacturer's maintenance is performed

7. DOCUMENT WORK AS NEEDED
Ensure suitable quality assurance documentation according to procedures
Archive raw data, calibration data, maintenance logs in the laboratory


8. COMPLY WITH SAFETY RULES)
Ensures compliance to EH&S rules in place
Use protective equipment according to procedures

Requirements· Medical Technologist holder of a diploma or technologist holder of a diploma in pharmaceutical biology or education considered as equivalent· Prefer some experience in multidisciplinary clinical laboratory· Computer literate
