JD for Material Specialist:
Work Location: Changping, Dongguan
CTB? Manage the CTB process with the OEM, ensure that the process is working smoothly and that we have clear visibility on materials. Work with the OEM on all identified material issues until issues get closed/resolved.
Logistics? Insure the smooth flow of materials necessary to meet production schedules, inventory control requirements, and on-going material line support and shipping. Ensure that we clearly understand the terms by commodity so that we can ensure a smooth flow from a Logistics perspective.
E&O? Coordinate the phase-out of obsolete parts and phase in of new product materials.
? Ensure that we identify E&O in advance to ensure we make the correct decisions by building out or mitigating same. Highlight parts with liability and propose solutions.
Allocations? Play a key role in the allocation of components that are in short supply. Work with Supply Chain Management/Procurement to ensure allocation of parts to maximize revenue. Communicate the allocation plans to the relevant parties.
New Supplier Evaluation/Qualification? Provide data for initial review to determine if they are worthy of going through qualification process. Team member for new Supplier evaluation of capabilities to support *** quality, specifications, production requirements, cost.
Management reporting? Create on a weekly basis all the relevant reports that are required by management to support the business. Ensure that the data is completely accurate and populated on a timely basis.
Experience/Qualifications Preferred
BS or Higher in Materials Management, Engineering, or equivalent;
Minimum 6 years solid materials management experience
Good knowledge and skills in MRPII implementation;
Strong leadership and project management skills;
Minimum Requirements:
Ability to speak, write, and communicate in Mandarin and English
