TITLE English Curriculum Director

REPORTS TO Academic Vice-President

LIAISE WITH Montessori Curriculum Director, Chinese Curriuculum Director,Regional Academic Coach

RESPONSIBLE FOR English Curriuclum, English Curriculum Deputy Director and English Teachers

Curriculum Research & Development

? Establish academic policies and procedures in line with English curriculum and needs of Etonkids

? Assist in the creation and development of English related products and services

? Update and maintain English Department Handbook

Academic Supervision

? Together with Regional Academic Coaches, regularly conduct visits to classrooms

? Together with Regional Academic Coaches, evaluate and mentor English Teachers

Academic Training

? Provide ongoing English curriculum training, guidance and support to Regional Academic Coaches

? Conduct intensive English curriculum training

? Together with Academic Department, organize and carry out professional development days

? Create a series of English Curriculum Training DVDs

? Be involved in the training of new English teachers, when possible

Environmental Management & Support

? support to the NCO team in the set-up of new English classrooms, when requested

? Together with the Administrative Department , maintain a standard English material list for classrooms/campuses

? Together with Regional Academic Coaches, assess English classroom environments/materials

Records Management & Support

? Update or create relevant English academic and/or administrative forms, as needed

? Provide guidance and support in the use of English academic/or administrative forms

? Provide guidance and support in preparing English reports and portfolios

Other Duties and Responsibilities

? Alert Academic Committee of any issues/concerns

? Support other members of the Academic Committee where needed

? Fulfill additional duties and responsibilities that are in line with the employment contract

Qualifications:

Bachelor Degree, Masters Degree (preferred), TESOL Certificate (preferred)

At least five years classroom experience, experience in China (desirable)
