This is a well known automotive components manufacturer searching for a Mandarin and English speaking candidate to handle an International Director of Quality position, spending 50% time in oversea plant and 50% time China plant.

Key Responsibilities:

• participate in strategic planning activities to ensure that all quality related requirements are considered when establishing strategic goals and objectives
• participate in new product / project development to ensure quality requirements are established
• responsible for leading, development, and management of effective and compliant quality systems and work closely with various cross functional members to ensure all requirements are described and meet the needs of regulations and functional excellence
• work directly with the China facility to ensure that management controls, product life cycle requirements including risk management, inspections, and product quality, statistical process control analysis and audits are conducted on a continuing basis as specified to enforce requirements and meet specifications
• develop implement, and coordinates product assurance program to prevent or eliminate defects in new or existing quality products by performing and / or overseeing the following responsibilities
• APQP (DR/PR) Management
• supplier Development Management
• supplier Approval (Sourcing Committee / Supplier database approval)
• QA/QC performance

Key Requirements:

• bachelor's degree in Engineering Discipline such as Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Quality or related technical field
• five to seven years of Quality experience, preferably with Automotive Components from a large Tier 1 Automotive Supplier
• experience with the quality management of automotive according to IS/TS 16949; Good understanding of the verification test method of automotive
• good understanding of the automotive design and development process; Knowledge of hardware and software development processes; Failure analysis
• ability to communicate effectively as required for job related communication throughout organization
• accurate and attentive to detail
• effective and competent management, leadership and organizational skills required
• ability to travel frequently, 50% of time
• ability to fluently speak English and Mandarin
