Introduction of OAKLEY China Sports Channel

Take care of Ecom / Golf /Cycling / Sporting goods / Snow / Outdoor ( www.oakley.com, www.oakley.com.cn )/ Military and Government ( www.oakleysi.com) channels.

This sales supervisor will take one or some of the channels.


BASIC FUNCTIONS

- Forecast, budget and set targets for each Distributors and KAs, by category by month (done quarterly)

- Monitor, track and analyze sales trends

- Ensure the timely release of new product and future orders so as to maximize sales at launch

- Monitor and analyze sell-through data (through the cooperation of the Distributors and KAs) so as to accurately forecast orders for key products and best sellers (in an effort to avoid back orders

- Continuous coordination with Operations, Production and Finance so as to streamline and maximize the efficiency of sales orders being released and shipped

- With the assistance of the Sales Coordinator, process the clean-up of all back-orders in the system (monthly/quarterly)

- Constant interaction with all departments of the business, i.e. all category Brand Managers, finance, P.R. Marketing & Advertising, Sports Marketing, Legal, Production.

- Work with each Product Category Manager in order to maintain a level of product knowledge, an understanding of the brand strategy and gather all relevant info so as to relay such details onto the Distributors / Key Accounts (daily/weekly).

- Oversee and coordinate (with the Sales Coordinator) the collection of bulk orders at seasonal intervals during the pre-book periods

- Compare these orders to prior year’s sales/purchases and the assigned targets for the proposed season

- Travel extensively to each regional markets to assess current status, maintain and identify areas for improvement

- Provide product & sales training to support sell-in & scheduled product launches

- Intelligence collection from competitors and KAs


SALES REPORTS

- Ensure that all sales related reports are completed and forwarded to national sports channel sales manager on a bi-weekly/monthly/quarterly basis

- Compile and complete forecast/budget reports (quarterly/yearly)

- Adhere to and maintain all travel budget expenses through monthly tracking and monitoring (travel, sales promo, etc).

- Ad hoc reports are required on occasions where the Brands Managers, Sales Analyst and other management staff need feedback for analytical purposes


OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

- The Distributor/KA door count is to be maintained and monitored (monthly)

- Assist the Distributors / KAs with Event Planning through the coordination of the resources available at Inc. (Marketing, channel marketing, Sports marketing, etc.)

- The completion of “special projects” is also required by the national sports channel sales manager ex. Sales Conferences, Brand Manager Meetings, Operating Plans, and Tradeshows.


QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

- 3 years related sports channel experience.

- Sales & training experience and background.

- Intermediate ability in Finance and market analysis.

- Available for extensive international travel. (50%)

- English in writing, reading and speaking

PLUS FACTORS:

- Understanding of the Golf sports industry - internationally

- Degree or equivalent from a 4-year college.

- Computer literate (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

- FMCG or sporting goods industry management trainee

- Base in Shanghai or Beijing
