职位描述
▌Responsibility 1 – DCDC converter controller
The engineer will assist in the design and write the code for the controller. This will be done in close cooperation with the Power Electronics engineer.
Work standard – The result must be a robust, reliable design that can be depended on for a long time use inexpensive microcontrollers
▌Responsibility 2 – Module Controller
The module controller collects data from various sensors and controls various pumps, valves, fans and indicators. The module controller must interface to all these devices and provide communications ports to the DCDC converters and the system controller. The embedded software will manage data collection, local archiving of data, responding to requests from the system controller, manages alarming and shutdown requirements for safe operation. The engineer is responsible for assisting with the design of the hardware and then implement the software to meet the module control requirements.
Work standard – The result must be a robust, reliable design that can be depended on for a long time use inexpensive microcontrollers
▌Responsibility 3 – Data Analysis
The module produces a large amount of data. Much of it is not needed unless there is a fault situation. To reduce the volume of data being circulated in the system, the module controller can perform a certain amount of data condensing to key parameters for later access. All data being collected will be stored locally in case of fault conditions. Engineer must develop a reliable way to store and retrieve this data
Work standard – Robust and reliable reporting with little end user input is the goal
▌Responsibility 4 – Human Machine Interface (HMI) and Diagnostics
In the event there is a problem or a configuration needs to be changed then a servicing/diagnostic tool is required. This is likely to be a PC based application that can be used to interrogate and modify the controller. The engineer will develop this tool as part of the module control work
Work standard – Robust and reliable HMI that is bilingual and easy to use.
Academic & trades qualificationsEssential
Bachelor Degree in electrical or software engineering or similar
Be proficient in written and verbal englishDesirable
Masters degree in electrical or software engineering or similar Work experience & skillsEssential
At least 3 years of experience in embedded controller design and development
Experienced programing in C, C++, and VB
Have used communications protocols such as MODBUS, MODBUS over TCP
Experience in product design and HMI interfacing in industrial environmentsDesirable
Used different operating system platforms including Windows, Linux etc.
Familiar with PIC, AVR, ARM processor families Personal qualities & behavioural traitsEssential
Motivated independent worker
Able to communicate freely with the team
