Responsibilities:
* Lead supplier development projects for strategic suppliers.
a) Improve supplier performance through the use of the Lean Enterprise Model (Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Quality Systems, Project Management, etc.)
b) Develop technical expertise in one or more global commodities
c) Identify technologies necessary for supplier performance improvement
d) Develop measurements needed to monitor and ensure supplier performance improvement
e) Conduct project briefings to upper-level management
f) Develop/maintain supplier relationships
* Support strategic procurement projects and initiatives.
a) Conduct on-site quality system and manufacturing process audits
b) Active participation in the Strategic Procurement Project Management Process
c) Develop/supervise part approval plan for assigned strategic procurement projects
d) Participate in all technical reviews
* New Product Development Team Member
a) In addition to the responsibilities noted it item #2:
i) Active member in assigned new product development teams
ii) Assist in developing inspection plans
* Supplier Business Reviews
a) Assist in leading supplier business reviews
b) Present all relevant supplier performance metrics
c) Identify and manage all supplier performance action items
* Assist manufacturing sites with tactical supplier issues
* Any other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:
* Technical Degree (BSME, BSEE, BS Metallurgical Engineering, BSIE) required. Expertise in die casting, sand casting, investment casting, machining, metallurgy, rubber, plastic, springs, stampings, forgings are a plus. Ability to identify areas of opportunity, develop and implement plans and solutions ensuring continuous improvement.
* 8 years’ experience in supplier improvement efforts with demonstrated analytical, communication, project management and decision-making skills;
* Must be available for extensive travel;
* Must be able to work well with others and be detail-oriented;
* Must possess project management and auditing skills;
* Experience in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma;
* Able to read prints and understand Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T);
* Strong Microsoft Office skills – Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, Visio and Minitab;
* Strong presentation skills;
* International experience preferred.nglish required; Multilingual preferred.
